The governor emphasized “with a broken heart and tears in our eyes, we will dedicate our presence in the Holy Land to his memory.”
Earlier in the day, the Governor of New Jersey and his wife met Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu in his office. They held a special visit to the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum, which included the laying of wreaths, after which they arrived at the Western Wall.

“I share with the condolences of the Governor’s family on the death of their loved ones,” said Dayan, “Edward’s love for Israel and the fact that the visit continues despite everything, express the close connection between the Jewish community in the United States and the State of Israel and the mutual commitment between the State of Israel and the United States” .
“The State of New Jersey plays an important role in Israeli-US relations. I conclude a successful visit that will bring its fruits to the Israeli economy, education and international relations.”
